The ATP Tennis Finals at the O2 in London
A dull wet day.
One of my surprise 70th Birthday presents back in April was a trip, with my son, to the 02 Arena in London to watch the Semi-finals of the year end Tennis tournament. This is when the best 8 players in the world play each other in a round robin format. Andy Murray had to make a huge effort to qualify and, after a poor first match, won his second to give him a chance to reach the semi-finals. It would be good if we got to see him play but whoever plays it should be exciting.
We fly down on Friday, stay over night in a hotel, then from lunch time till late evening at the Arena. Back to the Hotel and then fly home on Sunday. All week I have been trying to build my strength for the trip - it would have been a huge disappointment if I had been unable to travel. It certainly has given me something to look forward to, especially these past few weeks.
If you are watching on Saturday - you may see a close up (pic on Profile) - no doubt we will wave if we see ourselves on the big screens.
