Not a good day

Yesterday my mother had a stroke and was taken to the hospital at Telford where the stroke unit is. It's an hour's journey from where I live so a long way for the ambulance to go and for me to visit.

Last night I left her in A&E after five hours and she was still on a trolley as there was no room on the stroke ward and six stroke victims to find space for. The staff were wonderful but were just overwhelmed, the NHS is certainly having problems!

Phoning this morning she's on a ward thank goodness and is sitting in a chair which sounds positive.
