Smoke bush

I wanted a photo to honour Remembrance Day in some way. This is what struck me, and I can't honestly see the connection. The low sun and the spectacular colours of the smoke bushes were too good to pass over, and the beauty of our world is partly why we honour those whom we've lost.

Earlier today we were visited by two bald eagles who spent some time perched on top of a nearby tree. There were a couple more swooping around in the sky but this pair seemed content to sit and survey their kingdom... up until the point that I got my camera.
