Veteran's Day

I was on my way to lunch with two of my still-working post office friends (they had the day off because of the holiday), and I passed our local cemetery.

I rarely visit here, since all of my own family is miles from here in a very small country cemetery near the place I grew up...but I thought Veteran's Day deserved attention.

This is the entrance, guarded by two cannons, our flag, and this statue dedicated to our soldiers and sailors. I thought this appropriate for the day, and send my thanks to each person serving, past and present.

I just noticed that I spent last Veteran's Day with the same two friends!!! This is a nice rut to be in.
