Blast Off

Another day in the house today, So with the aid of a Black background and my eldest daughters make up brush , I attempted to try some high speed flash with the some coloured paint powder for added drama, the brush had some paint powder applied to it, then i dropped it onto a black vinyl surface and pressed the remote trigger, starting with yellow, then red, green and blue powder i experimented in the angle of drop and the timing of the shutter to try to get the dust cloud, I liked this image as the brush was at an angle and after the initial contact it bounced back into frame, the dust cloud rose above the brush and fine specks can be seen all the way to the top of the image, Alas with so many trials the nice black surface didn't stay like that for long and with the 2 flash units i was using , it looks as though the powder is white! although towards the bottom left I can see remnants of the red and there looks to be green on and around the brush itself!
Possibly try this later with some further lighting soon!
