Waiting For His Train, Kilmarnock

Day 315 of 365. We were up early today to get our early morning train from Kilmarnock to Glasgow. It was pretty nippy when the taxi came to pick us up from our hotel to take us to Kilmarnock station. While we were waiting on the platform the early morning sun lit up the shelters and in the window opposite ours seemed to be Rodin's The Thinker!
The train ride to Glasgow took about 45 minutes and then it was a short wait for our train from Glasgow back to the lovely Euston. As usual things didn't run smoothly - the train was two carriages short so it meant by the third stop the train was badly overcrowded - a problem not solved until first class was finally declassified.
At the other end we decided to go for a quick pint while waiting for our connecting train to Kent - and very enjoyable it was too! Finally, at about four in the afternoon we made it home. It felt like we had been away for weeks!
