Mausoleopsis amabilis

First time ever I saw one like this, and you?

The white-spotted fruit chafer is related to the scarab (ancient Egyptian symbol) and dung beetle (tidying up after the wild animals). Chafer meaning JAWS! They eat flowers and sap and seem to enjoy the stamens of the roses (you must admit, they look luscious and juicy, like a melon?), kindly leaving us the petals.

Thank you so much my blip friends for all the lovely messages on my 6th Birthday Blip yesterday, be assured that it is sincerely appreciated!
