waiting
patiently on a Sunday morning
as soon as the pigeons are done feeding out there,
as soon as master is done "doing" (whatever masters do),
we are ready for out first breath of fresh, cool air,
so we can then come in again and sit & eat,
and then go out again,
and then come in again
to be held & petted, fed & "lapped" and have our ears & bellies rubbed,
and then go out again,
and then come in again to take over the recliner or master's couch,
and then go out again & stir the pigeons,
and then come in again.
on Sunday morning.
