Lest We Forget

As part of the Centenary commemorations for WWI, Saltaire WI knitted and crochet poppies to remember the 121 soldiers from the village who were killed in action. The poppies were made into a wreath and basket arrangement and they were displayed in the URC in August and again for Remembrance Day.

Having been a work on Sunday, it was good to have some time of reflection there today.
