Time

It's been a really dull and dismal day with us having to turn the kitchen lights on whilst eating lunch!! What a contrast to Sunday when we had the sun streaming in at the same time! I know which one I prefer.

Thinking about Armistice today and about 100 years ago when the war had only been going for a few months. I bet time dragged for all those at the front and back home. How did they cope with the dull days when they longed to be home? What about the younger siblings who maybe wanted to join up and follow them to the front-line fighting? What about the women and parents left behind, how did they fill their dull and dismal days?

I am extremely grateful for those who fought so I don't have to!
