Mr. Evans

Everyone has their favorite teacher from high school. As for me, I have many teachers I could consider to be my favorite and one of these would happen to be the one and only Mr. Evans. The reason I consider Mr. Evans to be one of my favorite teachers is because he taught to some of the most inattentive, disruptive classes I have ever been in. My class was filled with students that gave almost zero respect to Mr. Evans and yet he always gave respect to everyone even though the majority of them did not deserve it. One of the people who probably did not deserve his respect was me, and by giving me respect I finally realized (about halfway through the year) that he was giving me respect even though I was not taking his class seriously at all. This led me to start giving him the respect I should have gave him all year long. So, because of Mr. Evens, I learned not only about literature, but I also learned a lot about how I should treat a class when I pursue my career as a high school history teacher. I feel that I learned the most out of his class than most others I have ever been in and I attribute that to the respect he gave to me.
