Moving Day :(

I helped my friend move out of her house this weekend. She and her mom have lived there all of her life, and since she is two years older than I am, she has lived there all of my life, too. Her house is very close to mine, and I spent a lot of time there. I remember many late nights that I would run home from her house. She has been at college for the past two years now, but every time she came home I would go up to visit her. Even when she wasn’t home, I would visit her mom to keep her company. Over the years her mom and I have become very close and I am able to talk to about anything. They aren’t moving far away, but I’m not going to be able to walk to their house. I am going to miss having them so close. One of the items we had to move was this 6 foot teddy bear. My friend had received this as a Valentine’s Day gift last year. What do you do with something this big? We could barely fit it in her trunk! We moved it to a spare room in her dad’s house where it will stay until we can find a better home for it. It is going to be different without them so close, but I hope everything works out for them!
