Wishes for Scotland
I started the day at Gleneagles taking part in the Scottish China Education Network event for schools which was fascinating and a real testimony to the energy behind modern language learning in this country.
Then I went to Edinburgh to take part in a preparatory planning event for the proposed Children & Young People's Summit which I announced a few days after the referendum at the Scottish Learning Festival,
The idea was to find new ways of involving young people in decisions about education and care and it has grown arms and legs, The summing up session in which I took part was lively and varied and now we all need to find ways to deepen and intensify this process and turn ambitions into achievements.
One of the features of today's event was a tree of wishes for Scotland. There were lots of great stars hanging from it by the time everyone went home.
