Przemysl Road Bridge

I crossed this bridge yesterday, it appearing preternaturally bright after a long journey along foggy, unlit roads.

Part of the Przemyśl ring road, it appears that the bridge was opened two years ago to the day. It crosses the River San, at a point where German and Russian troops faced each other in 1941 in the depths of World War II.

Fortunately, no such conflict exists today, and the bridge is seen as a sign of the new, free and vibrant Poland that has emerged from the Cold War.
