It's been worth it!

Nine months of fundraising to repair the wall damaged by vandals last summer has paid off. The balustrade behind the Hillsborough Memorial stone has been renovated with Portland stone and looks great.

Lots of activity this morning, the bright sunshine is obviously bringing visitors out. On the war memorial a group of people in brightly coloured jackets with serious-looking equipment were taking photographs. It's due to be cleaned and restored this summer and will look different when the green residue is removed from the statues.
