Horizontal Hold

Was quite taken with this spiders web I noticed when returning home after walking with the ladies this morning

Am more used to seeing circular webs - but spotted a few horizontal ones

Perhaps the spider was doing some lateral thinking - hoping he could entice a fly in for a lie down
