From Loch Cuin out to sea

John was driving over the hill road to Torloisk this morning and I had a lift to the top of the hill about two miles from here. It was a beautiful start to the day and a great walk home, looking over to the village and trying to capture the sunshine on the hills.

The walk downhill passed the significant forestry work carried out in recent months with acres of conifers felled between the village and coastline changing the landscape to open land and sea. It will take time for the debris to break down although apparently more trees will be planted on some of the land.

The view above was taken from the road leading to Calgary near the substation. The narrows are not hospitable for boats but whenever we head home and look through the narrows a pang hits the heart. I often wonder if it's the same for all of us when driving this way?
