On my way into the first dress rehearsal of this week's play, W Somerset Maugham's 'For Services Rendered'.
Newport's Dolman Theatre is solely owned by Newport Playgoers Society which is one of the leading amateur theatrical companies in Wales & has been so since 1924.
The Dolman, however, was purpose-built in 1967 to include a 400-capacity auditorium, three large rehearsal rooms & a 60-seat studio, & replaced an older theatre housed in a converted church.
