DIY-mio Day

Mr Fixit has been hard at work this weekend.

Yesterday I fitted a roller blind to the study window to prevent the afternoon glare making everything on the monitors disappear in a blinding flash.

And today, we built a bed base that tilts up to reveal a cavernous storage area beneath. This required all three main parts to be hoisted up over the balcony and in through the study-dressing room and thence to the bedroom. But it is already proving a great success.

Then this afternoon I fitted a smart new mixer tap to the kitchen sink. This was required because the spout of the old one came off in my hand yesterday!

So a very productive weekend indeed.
