Zone of proximal development

LM completed a poster for the reading fair today. He did all of the work by himself, though HD set him up with a projector to display the map of Alagesia (found online) on the poster board to trace, and on PowerPoint to type up all the text. The process exemplified Vygotsky's zone of proximal development, or the level of abilities of which a child is capable when helped a tad. I love that idea...

I was sick for the past two weeks, and am just now getting better. If I took 2 days off to rest, I probably would have gotten over the nastiness a week ago, but I stupidly plowed on. One day plowing on won't work...
