This photograph delights me in some way. Something timeless and universal about the beach sitting, pier sitting sunset watchers. Not that digital cameras and fancy I-Phones existed way back when...more that people everywhere and at all times have worshiped the setting and rising sun. No matter how much so-called progress has been made, this phenomena of the day becoming night becoming day continues to draw us as much for the beauty of it as for the wonder. People still fall in love while watching sunsets. People still weep over losses watching sunsets. People are astonished and people are soothed.
