Wicken Wind Pump.......

The sound of the reeds being blown by the wind is so beautiful, it was a gentle breeze when we visited, which makes the reeds a joy to look at.
The Wind Pump at Wicken, in East Anglia, is a symbol of Fen life. It was built around 1912 initially to pump water out of the fens, now it is used to maintain water levels and pumps water into Wicken Fen.
This classic view over the sedge fen to the wind pump symbolizes Wicken Fen for me.
