Remembrance

We went to the Remembrance service on Camp this morning. As usual it was a moving event - although I couldn't help but feel slightly irritated that there weren't enough chairs (there never are, no excuse, it's a huge parade ground), there weren't enough service sheets (again, happens every year, just print more!!!) and no one else seemed to sing the hymns. Is it a macho Army thing, that people don't sing?! Whatever, everyone turned and stared at us when we did... Still, cracking hymns, I enjoyed belting them out anyway.

Ah well, not to take away from the occasion of course...

Ted behaved impeccably which made me feel proud relieved, and we had a nice curry lunch in the Mess afterwards. I'd like to say that this shot was captured of Ted musing thoughtfully on the sacrifice made by his forefathers, but in reality he'd just run up and kicked one of the wreaths (thankfully not seen by anyone else, I was mortified!) so had a good telling off from his Dad.
