Lummi Totem Pole

This morning I visited Felix Solomon, a wonderful Lummi carver. I went with a group lead by Trish Harding. Felix is working on two big projects that we saw: one is a canoe and the other is a large sculpture for down below the Whatcom Museum. His work is in the style as the early Salish carvers. This totem pole is at the Northwest Indian College. Felix said it is a good example of the early work that influences his work.
