Paddingtons!!

We went up to London to watch The Lord Mayors show parade and it was the twins first trip in to the city. The parade was great and seemed longer than in previous years.

We had planned to visit the poppies at the Tower of London however after reading that is was expected to be super busy, we decided that the children may not be so keen to queue so changed our plans.

On Tuesday, 50 Paddington bear statues designed by various different artists and celebrities were released all over London to celebrate the release of the new Paddington Bear movie later in the year and to raise awareness of the NSPCC.

There are suggested trails to follow and a useful app which tells you how close you are.

Immediately after the parade, we found the one outside St Paul's Cathedral then continued over the millennium bridge to spot the ones by the Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe.

We then had exciting trips on the tube to Covent Garden where we searched for the 2 supposedly there and came across many other hunters who couldn't locate one of them. We concluded that it either wasn't in position yet or had been moved as at one point we were 5 metres away and there was still no sign.

My chosen blip for today was actually taken by my friend Hannah who was with us. I asked her to take some photos of us with the statue and he children and this was perfect as she caught the very cute moment where Pippa (in the carrier on my back hence the strange position I'm in!) decided to give Paddington a kiss on the nose :)
