Dennis Bergkamp

I popped up to the Arsenal football ground this morning to buy a couple of things from their club shop.

Unlike Arsenal's old ground, which they left in 2006 and which was steeped in history, the Emirates Stadium is like a huge, soulless space ship that's dropped into north London from outer space.

The club are working hard to give it connections to the past. The latest addition is this bronze statue of Dutch international Dennis Bergkamp who played for the Gunners from 1995-2006.
