11.00 Remembrance Sunday
I always buy a poppy to show I remember and respect those who have lost their lives due to war; but why does everything then have to be 'claimed' by religion or monarchy.
I watched the service, from my bedroom window, as it played out in the churchyard behind my house, around the church's remembrance cross.
As the church bells chimed 11.00 I took this photo, with everyone looking down, in a respectful manner, but I loved how the innocence of youth is shown by this one small boy looking behind him as the church bells caught his attention.
