Reflection

Today has been a day of remembrance and reflection. I chose this shot in remembrance of my mother's uncle Frankie (died 1934). Frank was a merchant seaman since the age of 14. We seldom hear of prisoners of war from WW1, Frank was on a British merchant ship captured in 1915 and spent the rest of the war in Germany as a POW. He survived in good health and continued his career at sea on his release in 1918.
He is buried in Seafield Cemetery.
I think reflection on water is fitting for a mariner.
