Beechwood remembers!

Over 110 Old Elizabethans (Ex pupils from Elizabeth College in Guernsey) gave their lives during the great war.
This week we have seen a particularly good programme put together by the BBC called "The Passing Bells".
We thought it was excellent because it showed events from the perspective of both sides during World War 1, including what the poor soldiers endured.... very very sad but it certainly brought it home to us just how gruelling the conditions were.
We both had many relatives involved.
Beechwood children and staff have each made a red ceramic poppy similar to those at the Tower of London and our blip today shows them displayed at the front of the building. Look Large as it is quite striking!
Hope you are all enjoying a nice peaceful weekend!
