Remembering

This is a rather lovely arrangement of poppies at church this morning. We have our service half-an-hour earlier than usual (at 10) on Remembrance Sunday and we finish at 10.45 to enable people to get across to the War Memorial before 11. After the Act of Remembrance road closure this morning there was absolute chaos with the traffic - you can't get two cars past each other with cars parked either side in the road where the churches are and it all snarled up in both directions. After about 10 minutes of gridlock, somebody sorted it out by getting some of the cars to turn round in the entrance to a car park and get out of the way!

At least it's been a lovely sunny day today for all the local Remembrance services.
