Making a Storage Book
Spent all day in a bookmaking class taught by Macy Chadwick. This example of my pages illustrates a couple of techniques for making the windows and envelopes that are part of this structure. First we painted our paper, then watched her demo a half dozen different possibilities for storing small items and ephemera within the book. By the time our paper was dry we were ready to cut and paste and experiment with mylar windows, enclosures and more. A fine way to spend the day, but I am exhaustified. I fully intend to finish my book in the next couple weeks and then think about how to apply all these ideas to a well-thought-out project!
