Poppies at the Tower

Amazing sight and very moving, but the crush of people was insane. I've never been so crowded together. 15 minutes queueing to get up the steps of tower bridge, 10 mins looking down at the poppies, 15 minutes enclosed by railings on the pavement shuffling along 20 metres to get past, hopped on. Bus to escape (and take this pic), queue for 15 mins in road traffic, hop off at Moorgate to tKe tube which TERMINATED back at tower bridge. So many people trying to get I. Tube it was clogged, got on circle line to eventually get away to Euston.

Despite all that it was amazing to see, but I have never been in in such crowds!
