Bonfire night

Time for the yearly jaunt to Winchester to brave the drunk-person-and-naked-flame... I mean torchlight procession followed by torching an enormous pile of pallets. Bonfire night! I think Winchester is one of the few places to still burn effigies. The winners of the guy competition get to visit the House of Commons (possibly to try and blow it up?)

Then there were some fireworks. There were a lot of fireworks. I'm pretty sure that there were more firework let off in one minute than a whole fireworks display from my childhood. Back in those days there was a five minute gap between fireworks so you could properly appreciate each one. By being cold, and bored.
