Chno Dearg

I decided to get my skis on again to get some experience of these incredible snow conditions in the Highlands. Unfortunately I had arrived in the middle of a thaw.

Not to be put off, I managed to ski from the car up Chno Dearg (the dome like hill in the centre of the picture). The snow was really soft until about 750m which made for heavy going. After that was blissful gliding. The descent was good though, made it all worth it.
