Putting your 'heads' together

Crazy idea - before daily practice routine, must think of a blip. Wahla, involve the instruments. The head on the left is a photo of a 'traditional' double bass scroll - dates way back in the history of the instrument. On the right, the 'modern' adaptation. Notice the similar line of both. Not all 'modern' bass guitars exhibit this shape. Actually, Fender holds the patent on their scroll head. So much for the 'History of the Bass' for today. :-) Now on to the practice session.
