Glow Jar Awesomeness!
It's Friday so that was 1 reason to wake up in a cheerful mood :)
After the wind and rain yesterday which clearly wasn't the best time to try and get a shot of the city I've been born and raised in (Belfast). Today would have been the perfect day for that shot, the sun was out with patchy clouds, but for the majority of the day I was stuck indoors, doing what seems to be endless tasks of housework and not really getting anywhere in what seems so little time!
I also could have took the 'fancy' camera out with us tonight when our children, my husband and myself joined the local school and community for the 'We remember festival' Which involved a lovely lantern walk from the school to the church with a service afterwards remembering loved ones, those that have been lost in wars and the troubles of Northern Ireland.
This was an afterthought as I really want to experiment more and try to learn more about photography. We have plenty of glowsticks left over from halloween and I also had the bonus of having fun while doing this :)
2 glass jars
few glow sticks
Activate glow sticks, cut 1 end and shake it about the jar, place in dark room and voila! I didn't even need to edit the picture afterwards! Pretty, cool jar.
Tomorrow I might even let the children have a go with the glow sticks...
