I seem to have settled into a tradition of marking the opening concert of the Bath Mozartfest with a picture of an annotated viola score. This one is Mozart's String Quintet K561, and belongs to Geraldine Walther of the Takacs Quartet. They also played one of Beethoven's profoundly mysterious late quartets - music as a journey.
