Greyhound Rock Beach, Ca - 8:00am

At the north most border of Santa Cruz County, along Highway One, is Greyhound Rock Beach. It's named this due to the arial shape of a very large sea stack on the beach (oddly enough.. it looks like a Greyhound...)

This beach is one of my 3 favorite spots to wander in the pre-dawn hours.. (the other two spots will make it on the blip this month as well). I normally look for low or minus tides at or before dawn to travel to these spots. During these times, the beaches are transformed to other worldly vistas.
