First Frosty Morning
What a difference a few days make. Last week we were having lunch in hot sunshine in the garden and this morning I woke to frosty fields.
I also had to scrape the windscreen before setting off to my training course in Lewes.
I always allow at least an hour to find a parking spot as it is notorious for its lack of convenient parking. Today was no different. I drove around and around, becoming increasingly frustrated. Until, in desperation I parked at the colossally expensive station car park. I then had to go through some complicated phone procedure because the machine didn't take notes. Moan, moan moan.
I headed straight for a coffee shop and met another one of the women on the course. I confided that I had been awake all night following a physiotherapy session on my shoulder and didn't think I would be on form. She didn't say anything but I heard later that she had had chemo the day before, for an auto immune disease. I felt really guilty for making such pathetic excuses.
I have to confess that I hadn't really prepared for this course and hadn't done any of the pre-reading. A big mistake when there are only 4 people. Guess who was asked to chair a session about which she knew nothing? Just avoided total humiliation. They scraped the bottom of the barrel to find anything positive to say.
So there, not a brilliant day, However, getting excited about our upcoming holiday to South America. 4 days to go.
ps I will be putting back blips on as I have fallen so far behind again due to BT Openzone failing me again when visiting mum in Cardiff.
