Bees.
I can't explain how much fun and pleasure I've gained from making provision for solitary bees this year and watching them fill the holes.

We have a bee house jammed with next years bees just on the other side of the wall from where we are eating and sitting inside on cold, dark days. They're all in there waiting for spring and I'm thrilled that the bees found us and found the bamboo holes satisfactory!

A couple of years ago I set out to make our garden more attractive to bees and butterflies and it's happened.

If you build it, they will come. Or some shit like that
