Little boxes

A good day at the ACOSVO convene sandwiched by frustrating travel.

The first #31 sailed by full and the 3 of us huddling in the snell wind were left in the cold, and barely light, for another freezing 5 minutes. Then we took nearly an hour to get to Haymarket by which time the wait for a tram was 17 minutes. I thought they ran more frequently than that. So nothing for it but a taxi or to RBS World at Gogar. Is a long way out and a long walk to the Conference Centre.

The day was good. Good contacts and as I'd requested a back up leading a group want to bad. Mouth still sore though and lunch was a nightmare. Thank goodness they had salmon on skewers.

Then back, past the stacked boxes of offices, to spend more time sitting in stationery buses. And to discover I'd left my work BB behind - doh! But the ICE number worked and we'll be reunited tomorrow.

After another hour+ and I'm home. The traffic has been awful today, Princes St becomes a bus park. Unfortunately there is Europa League on the tv which #2 son is watching, no he's falling asleep!

I'm having a quiet night in tonight. Tuesday took more out of me than I anticipated.

Edit: Discovered that I missed out on a mini blip meet today. Cat's Paw was at the same conference and he DID manage to take a tram. I'm not sure wwe would have worked out that we were both blippers by chatting about Men's Sheds and rural housing, but who knows? He might have asked me why I was taking a photo of nondescript trees out of the window of a Conference Centre (I didn't use THAT one). Next time.
