The Wren

Flying high

As my plane soared into the air above Edinburgh I had delightful views over the Firth of Forth through the clouds but by the time I had found my camera - restrained as I was by the seat belt - the view had gone but I did manage to capture the autumn sunshine on the scattered clouds and another plane taking off with its excited passengers en route to some new adventure, or maybe returning from one.

The plane disgorged its passengers at terminal 2 at Heathrow which I was not familiar with. That is my excuse anyway because as I went into the building I was so busy chatting to fellow passengers that I completely missed the Baggage Reclaim area and only realised my mistake when I found myself outside the security doors and in the main concourse where a sign saying "Now you have your luggage you can go ....etc" jogged me into the realisation that I hadn't actually collected mine! Suffice to say that it was a good while later that I managed to persuade a Virgin Atlantic employee to escort me back through security (!) and in to collect my solitary bag looking very lonely on the conveyor belt. A lot later than planned I enjoyed a fabulous evening with the family before my onward journey.
