Sheltering

The last red poppy in flower I saw was at Cammo Estate last week, but this orange wild Welsh poppy flowering in my garden is unexpected at this time of year, but surely welcomed for the last of the insects around.

It's growing in the chuckies and autumn leaves, and is well sheltered close to the ancient unusable wheelbarrow.

Warmer than last night but grey, wet and windy.

I like wee gems like this that just appear when you're no looking. Noticed also the winter jasmine is flowering already.
