A big sky today...

...it's pretty nice here today but heavy rain is forecast for later today, which is a shame since we are going out for a ringers' meal tonight. I only live about 5 minutes walk away from the restaurant but it could be a very wet 5 minutes. Most restaurants over here offer fixed price menus in October and early November in a bid to increase business off season. when this started the fixed price was £10 so it is called the Tennerfest. Few restaurants can now offer a meal for £10 so there are various differential priced menus but still at a fixed price so you know what you are going to pay. Should be fun and I expect there will be a few sore heads tomorrow morning; an advantage of not drinking is that my head should be clear.

This is yet another marine; this time at the Bridge. The Bridge is now just a road with shops on one side and the harbour the other but it used to actually bridge St Sampsons to the Vale which was once detached from the rest of the island.

There is one last marina that I have yet to blip. Beaucette Marina, which was constructed in the 1960s by the Royal Engineers from a disused quarry. I shall add Beaucette to my list of "must blips".
