Causing a disturbance
The designated boat marshal and skipper to swim out to the expedition boat every morning and clean off the guano and dead fish that the locals have left behind (!). I snapped this shot just as the Grey Pelicans, Royal Terns and a laughing gull decided that we were swimming too close for comfort and took to the air. You wonder how those pelicans manage it.
Taken using my Nauticam housing - an excellent brand choice if you want to take up underwater photography.
Today the team conducted two more surveys in Isles Bay (M001 finish and M002 first reps) - not the most interesting sea bottoms (sand and sea grass) but data is data. I jumped in to free dive and take some footage of the survey team on the second dive.
We were lucky to see a large sinister Great Barracuda hovering under the boat as we snorkelled out to it.
The day finished off with excellent Toad in the Hole cooked by Kathy while I tried out making my first chowder type soup.
