Spike

Meet Spike. This cold-blooded creature visited our Kindergarten class today. There just isn't any book, picture, or even movie that can capture the imagination and curiosity of a child than the real animal itself. I must say, in his half-hour visit he even endeared himself to me, which isn't easy for any reptile to do. I was very glad to hear the teacher tell the children that she only has him for a pet because the original owner abandoned him. Otherwise, she would never keep this amazing creature as a pet. Just isn't right. Just isn't the same as a cat or dog.

I think they got the message.
