More Stills

This evening was my first class in a new Advanced Photoshop course at Stills Gallery. I would have signed up for a "slightly more than beginners" course if any had been available. But apparently by the end of it I'll be able to connect my imagination and artistic vision to what's on screen. Or claim my money back.

There are only five of us, and the others are all arty types who do this kind of thing for a living. One of them runs the creative media department for a well known company. A fairly standard life assurance company. Another one makes her money from painting female nudes.

I don't think admitting I was an accounting lecturer gained their respect, but I recovered a few kudos points when the tutor asked what kind of photography we do. I told him I specialised in war photography. Leith can be such a battle zone.
