Incongruity

My hydrangeas normally bloom gloriously through the summer, but for some reason this summer there was nary a bloom until late September. So now this strange incongruity: the leaves on the trees are turning our world red/orange/yellow, and my poor confused hydrangea blooms bravely in their midst.

Busy day today, took Mom to town shopping for groceries and a flu shot. Great fun...I'm going to miss her so much when she moves!
