Remember remember

I haven't blipped for 6 weeks but OBD (henceforth known as Monkey which is her current nickname!) is changing and growing so much I want to restart again so I remember and capture the little things.

Still not getting the best sleep but other than that am loving being a mummy. Monkey is becoming great company and I love playing with her and seeing her learn and explore. Though she is getting much more mobile so having a shower when she's not sleeping is getting tricky as I can't just leave her on her back and know she'll be ok!

The fella is off this week and today we had a lovely family day. A chilled out morning followed by a trip to see a kitchen designer (we're currently planning an extension) then pub lunch and a crisp autumn walk with Moneky in her pushchair for the first time. She loved it - she's so nosey inquisitive so was delighted by the new perspective. Popped into mum and dads on the way home for a cuppa now I'm just chilling while Monkey sleeps and the fella is out swimming (his first training session for the half ironman he is doing next May).

It's not the kind of day I would have appreciated a few years ago but it's great spending time as a family and I'm surprising myself quite how much I'm loving it. (I know I'm repeating myself but worth remembering the good days when I'm awake again in the night!)

Luckily all the loud fireworks haven't woken Monkey and fingers crossed we'll have an ok night.
