Amiens III--Watched Over by Saints

As promised yesterday, here?s a third blip from Amiens (85 miles north of Paris), a composite of two views blipped this morning before we took the train back. Above is a group of apostles and prophets from the façade of the cathedral (just to the left of the central portal; St. Paul is on the right, with the sword as his symbol).

Below is a view of the St. Leu quarter with the cathedral in the distance; it offers a number of restaurants along a set of canals (it?s sometimes described as the Amsterdam of Amiens). It must be wonderful in the summer, but it was frigid today! The red brick construction is characteristic of the city?s architecture.
